The Curious Bear Toy and Book Shop is an independent, locally-owned children's toy and book shop with two locations in the South Sound.
Our mission is to provide children and parents alike a delightful and enjoyable place to explore. You'll find toys, puzzles, books, and gifts of all kinds and price ranges for all ages. We take great care and pride at The Curious Bear in choosing the products we carry. You'll find high quality books that excite, puzzles that challenge, games that inspire, STEM and Montessori inspired toys and...all the latest trends including squishy fidgets and Tonies.
Meet the Team
Ann Wiley
Ann is our Director of Operations. Ann is the master of social media. Our resident librarian and expert toy curator. Our Chief Fun Officer. Mom of two boys and a girl.
Katherine Murto
Katherine (Kat) is our Store Manager. Kat is who you will see most days on the floor in Fircrest and is the knower of ALL the things. Big fan of puzzles and aliens. Mom of two boys.
Jennifer Luna
Jenn is our owner and website wizard. The boring person who pays the bills but still gets excited opening every box of inventory like it's Christmas morning. Mom of three girls.
We've got lots of other friendly faces you may see in the store too, like Calista, Tessa, Jane, Kate, Riley, Maile, and Eileen. Whoever happens to be working when you visit would love to assist you, so please don't be shy. We love this community and helping families, friends, and other caregivers find the absolute perfect toy, stuffy, book, or game.
The Kindship
And ICYMI: The Curious Bear Toy & Book Shop is a member of The Kindship, owned and operated by Jenn (which she started with her mom in a cliche basement in 2012).
